Flippr Privacy Policy

Flippr ("we", "us", the "Extension") is a browser extension that analyzes Facebook Marketplace listings to estimate resale ("flip") potential using AI. This policy explains what data we process, why, and who it is shared with. We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. Information we process

• Listing content you analyze. When you click an analysis button or browse Marketplace with Flippr active, the public details of the listing you are viewing (such as title, price, location, description text, and the listing image URL) are sent to our backend and on to our AI provider to generate an estimate. This content is processed in real time to produce your result.
• License key. After you subscribe, you receive a license key. It is stored locally in your browser and sent to our backend to confirm your subscription is active.
• Subscription & billing data. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. We retain a record linking your license key to your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and the email you used at checkout, so we can validate access and let you manage your subscription.
• Limited usage counts. We keep a per-license daily count of analyses to prevent abuse. This is a number, not a log of which items you viewed.
• Anonymous install events. When the extension is first installed or updated, we receive an anonymous install ID, extension and browser versions, operating system and CPU architecture, browser language, timezone, and an approximate city, region, and country inferred by Cloudflare from the request. This does not include your name, email, exact GPS location, raw IP address in our notifications, or browsing history.

2. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We use Meta's advertising pixel on our checkout success and support pages to measure ad performance (see Third-party services).
• We do not build a profile of your general browsing history. Only the listing you actively analyze is processed.
• We do not store the listing content after your analysis result is returned.

3. Third-party services

To provide the service, data is shared with:

• Anthropic (AI analysis) — receives the listing details to generate the estimate. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
• Stripe (payments & subscriptions) — processes your payment and stores billing details. See stripe.com/privacy.
• Cloudflare (our backend hosting) — our proxy and license store run on Cloudflare. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Slack (internal notifications) — receives anonymous install and update event details so we can monitor extension adoption. See slack.com/trust/privacy/privacy-policy.
• Resend (internal email notifications) — sends the same anonymous install and update details to the operator by email. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Meta (Facebook) (advertising analytics) — our checkout success page loads Meta's conversion pixel to measure ad campaign performance. See facebook.com/privacy/policy.

4. Browser permissions

• storage — to save your license key and scan usage locally.
• Access to facebook.com — so the extension can run on Facebook Marketplace.
• Access to our backend domain — to validate your subscription and return analysis results.

5. Data retention

Listing content is not retained after a result is produced. Your license/subscription record is kept for as long as your subscription exists and for a reasonable period afterward for billing and support. You can cancel anytime in the subscription portal; on cancellation your license stops working.

6. Security

Our AI provider key is held only on our server and is never included in the extension. Traffic between the extension, our backend, and third parties is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

7. Children

Flippr is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

8. Your choices

You can stop all data processing by removing your license key, disabling, or uninstalling the extension. For account/billing requests, contact us below.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
